As 2018 comes to a close, Bennett Wales & the Relief will be performing their first concert at the NorVa. They will be opening a reunion show for the legendary Richmond based-band, Fighting Gravity. While Fighting Gravity has not actively toured in quite some time, they are still well remembered and respected for their energy and incredible talent. They still maintain a sizable East Coast fan-base to this day.

The show will take place on December 28th, at the NorVa in Norfolk, VA. The show will start at 8:00 PM with the venue doors opening at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $20 in advance and are available on the NorVa’s box office, their website or through a direct link here:

Tickets will be $23 the day of the show.

Fighting Gravity originally formed as a ska outfit, under the name Boy O Boy. They soon changed their name and began to gather a lot of attention with their memorable performances and devout college following. They sold over 300,000 records and performed for over 1,000,000 people worldwide. They have shared the stage with other notable bands such as Dave Matthews Band, Barenaked Ladies, Guster, and O.A.R. Although their last official shows were in 2007, all of the band’s members have continued their careers in the music industry in various roles. Over the last decade, they have often played with one another in guest appearances. These “mini-reunions” led to a full-on reunion show (SOLD OUT) in Richmond at the National at the end of 2017. After the incredible turnout from this show, the band decided to do more reunion shows at the end of the 2018: one at the National on December 26th and the other being the NorVa show on December 28th.
